Technologies for creating comfortable interiors are constantly improved. Relatively recently, suspended and stretched ceilings were the pinnacle of design thought. And today someone is focusing on finding the answer to the question: "shadow profile, what is it and how to use it?" Yes, it is a new technology for interior design, and to be precise - for designing connections between walls, ceiling and floor.
Thus, the shadow profile is intended to create a distinctive connection around the perimeter of the plasterboard or stretch ceiling. Aluminum profile with a complex cross-section, replacing standard ceiling peripheral elements.
It fits perfectly into interiors and is irreplaceable when creating futuristic effects of a "floating" ceiling with LED illumination. In such cases, an illuminated profile is used in which a groove is milled for mounting the LED strip.
The shadow profile is made of aluminum alloys and has a complex cross-section with several planes. The section geometry includes planes for attaching to the wall and for supporting the ceiling structure. Installation of the shadow profile
The design of the shadow profile is thought out to the smallest detail, and its assembly is not difficult. The profile is mounted on pre-aligned walls. This is necessary so that the profile fits snugly against the wall. Using a laser level on the wall, we mark a horizontal line - the border of the ceiling. Accuracy is important at this stage: all lines must connect. The profile is attached to the supporting frame in the same plane as the CW profile. The standard length of the profile elements is 3 m. For safe fastening, each segment is screwed in at least 4 places.
The shadow profile is mounted using pins with a wide flange, and the place of each connection is additionally glued with a sealing tape. Installation is done in the classic way:
- Drill a hole in the wall.
- Drive in the peg.
- Fix the profile with.
- Screw.
Strictly speaking, the shadow seam replaces the classic profile for attaching a suspended ceiling made of drywall. After installing the frame from the profile, we perform the installation of drywall and plastering.
