Advantages and disadvantages of flat floor plinth

The aluminum plinth is easy to assemble. There are several fastening options: with glue or screws. In rooms with high traffic or extreme microclimate (kitchen, bathroom), it is best to mount the skirting board with screws and dowels.
The disadvantage of aluminum pedestals is their high cost. Aluminum can darken noticeably when exposed to direct sunlight. And whether the sensitivity of soft metal to abrasive action is considered a disadvantage is quite controversial. Where the aluminum plinth in the interior serves primarily as decoration, there is rarely a need for abrasives. In cases where the protection function is much more important (in production rooms), the loss of aesthetics is not critical.
